TRAFFIC ALERT

DOWNTOWN STREET CLOSURES FOR CRITERIUM

On Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., travel restrictions will in place throughout the downtown
area for the Downtown Tucson Criterium event. Closed will be:

• Church Avenue from Alameda Street to Broadway

• Pennington Street from Sixth Avenue to Church Avenue
• Congress Street from Sixth Avenue to Church Avenue
• Alameda Street from Sixth Avenue to Church Avenue
• Stone Avenue from Toole Avenue to Broadway

Motor vehicles can use Broadway, 6th Avenue, Toole Avenue, and Granada Avenue as an alternate route.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving in these areas. For your safety, please observe all traffic
control signage, message boards, and obey speed limits.

The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The
Department’s nearly 250 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 1,900 lane miles of
streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and
traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Sun Van.
