The Curatorial Overview

The human figur has always been a classic example to art.

Throughout centuries, many artworks feature around the human figure. Within the theme of:
‘The Human Figure’ our exhibition in the National Gallery of NSW will explore and admire the
human figure through the ages. Our exhibition highlights how the human figure is viewed; and
glamorised. Our exhibition is the window to the understanding the human figure.

In The NSW Art Gallery’s new exhibition “Self Portraits of Great Artist‘ presents the humble
human figure of many artist as a masterpiece of nature, which is simply admired by all people.

The evidence of economic, social, governmental and cultural influences are beautifully displayed
at the sight of this framework.

The environment of the exhibition is carefully and precisely set to make the visitor experience
an assortment of experiences, providing the thought of beauty of the human form. These
elements are intended to evoke an epiphany for the human form.

The specific consists of four walls each with a number of artworks. It is there that the detailed
paintings are presented. Each wall is devoted to a variety of human figures.
