There are many video game developing companies such as Electronic Arts (EA), Bioware, and
Bungie just to name a few. Each video game that is developed is a project on their own. They
could take up to several years to develop one single video game. For instance, it took Bioware
approximately three years for them to create Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Games
such as Dragon Age and Star Wars: The Old Republic, are projects that EA and Bioware are
working on for specific dates that must be met. This article will discuss the responsibilities,
qualifications, and skills that are needed to work as a Project Manager in the Video Game
Industry.

The main difference between a Project Manager in video game development and any other
industry would be the usage of Information Technology because video games are always
improving. They are revolutionary to the entertainment industry and it carries a huge market [4].
Video games are all about technology and improving, which brings us to the future. This
industry has a huge advantage to becoming the dominant past-time. As seen over the years, there
are more sophisticated game consoles and computer games with internet and wireless gadgets
playing a partner in all their glory. As long as technology improves there will always be room for
improvement in the video game industry
