    To create a printer session on a Windows PC: 1. Click Start or Configure Session under IBM iSeries Access in the programs menu. 2. Click New Session and enter the AS400 server IP, select a printer ID, emulation type, and enable auto-reconnect. 3. For dot matrix printers, click Setup and select transform to ASCII and the printer model.

    Click on All Programs IBM iSeries Access for Windows  Emulator  Start or Configure Session

    On the next screen, Click New Session as shown in the below screen

    It would show the screen as shown below,

    Check for the IP Address of the AS400 server.

    Specify the printer ID in the Workstation ID. Like RHSP01, SIEP01 etc

    Check the type of emulation to printer

    Check the Auto-Reconnect.

    Check the transform print data to ASCII and select the appropriate printer model as shown the below

    After the saving the printer session.

    Click to start the session, it should look like the screen below.
