    Budget Meeting Minutes


    December 20, 2010 – 7:00, PM
    Council members and staff present – Jeffery Berger, Andrew Mook, Curtis Michael, Richard Smith, Jillian Perry,
    and Mayor Walter Reed

    The budget meeting of the Hughesville Borough Council was called to order by Council President Jeffery Berger
    followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

    Guests and Visitors: Bob Simmons. Savanna Jennings (Sun-Gazette)

    Business:
    • Discussion on finalizing health insurance for employees; deductibles and co-pays. Conversations
    are between Geisinger and Blue Cross. Committee will meet with Blue Cross one more time.
    • Adoption of budget for 2011 in the amount of $812,000.00. Smith moved, seconded by Michael.
    Motion passed.
    • Repeal tax levy ordinance stipulating .60 mills for curbs and alleys. Smith moved, seconded by
    Mook. Motion passed.
    • Ordinance 2 of 2010 – 2011 Tax Levy of 5 mills real estate, Mook moved, seconded by Michael.
    Motion passed.

    Adjournment: Perry moved, seconded by Mook. Motion passed
