Critical Event Analysis

I. Health History
Mr. Kom, 67 years old. He came to the hospital on August 25th, 2009 with
medical diagnose Hepatitis C. His whole body became yellow and couldn’t
finishing eat for three days. On August 27nd, 2009 He was complain about he felt
nausea while he was eat.

II. Physical Examination


a. Subjective data
Past history: Patient said that he felt nausea while he was eat.
b. Objective data
Palpation
BP : 110/70 mmHg
T : 36.4° C
P : 76 x bpm
RR : 20 x bpm

III. Nursing Diagnosis


- Nausea related to less nutrition risk than body requirements because
of less food supplies.

IV. Nursing Intervention/Planning


a. Nausea
Objective/goal: Patient didn’t felt nausea anymore.
Criteria Outcomes:
- Give explanation about patient’s condition to his family about
nursing intervention
R/ the family know the patient’s condition and to be cooperative to
achieve the
goal’s treatment
- Suggest foods which he’s like
R/ to makes he isn’t nausea
- Checking vital sign
R/ make sure his vital sign still normal

V. Nursing Implementation
1. Nausea
- Giving explanation about patient’s condition to her family about the
nursing intervention
- Suggest food that he’s like
- Checking the vital sign

VI. Evaluation
1. Nausea
- Patient felt that nausea has reduced when he was lunch
- He could finishing eat (lunch)
