Cemetery Cremation Policy

Private Cremation Burial may be performed by the family or individuals on a purchased

grave space within the cemetery. The burial will still need prior approval by a member of
Allin Township Cemetery Trustees before proceeding.

Location of Cremated Remains Allin Township Cemetery permits one traditional burial
and one cremation per grave space or two cremations per grave space, in accordance
with the the Allin Township Cemetery policy, and proper documentation.

Scattering of Cremated Remains While this romantic notion seems like a sound choice
for some (and it can be), some families come to regret this decision in later years, as they
have lost the opportunity to create a focal point for remembrance. The scattering of
cremated remains is accepted on a purchased grave space within the cemetery. The
scattering will still need approval by a member of Allin Township Cemetery Trustees
before proceeding.

Burial of Cremated Remains All other cremated remains must be properly buried in a
suitable container on a purchased grave space pursuant to the locating, opening and
closing of the internment by a member of Allin Township Cemetery Trustees. The size of
the container not to exceed eight (8) inches in diameter, across and twelve (12) inches
tall or high. Larger containers and vaults are to be opened by a contractor through a
funeral home. All necessary documentation must be presented before burial can take
place (i.e. death certificate and deed of lot.)The cost of the opening by the trustee is
twenty-five dollars ($25.00) payable at the time of the opening or closing of the
internment. After the internment the trustee must be notified of its completion and
all fees paid.

Liability The cemetery shall in no way be liable for any container, receptacle or urn of
cremated remains placed in any lot or niche.
