Flight Crew & Training

a) Please advise current crew numbers as follows for each aircraft type within each airlines fleet:-

CATEGORIES A330/A340 B777 B737 ATR72-500 CRJ

Instructors

Captains *

First Officers

Flight engineers

Cabin attendants

*It is recognised that the term Captain is not used in some regulations where the terminology is
pilot in command (pic) or commander

b) Average number of flight hours performed annually by crew members within the above
categories

c) Composition of crew per type of aircraft ( specify for each function, origin and type of license
held -DGCA, FAA, CAA or other to be identified ). Are the crew members assigned to one single
type or variant of aircraft only ? If not, please specify details.

d) Please provide updated information regarding recruitment procedures (including minimum


requirements for new recruits), training procedures (both training of new recruits and ongoing /
recurrency training for existing crew), training facilities available including flight simulators
(please specify type and level of simulator) and promotion procedures.

e) Has the airline implemented Crew Resource Management (CRM) training for all pilots? If so,
does such training include Line Operational Simulation / Line Orientated Flight Training?

f) Please provide updated information regarding procedures for identifying problems with crew
performance and taking corrective measures where necessary, including the following:-

- Does substandard performance in recurrent training result in immediate and formal
corrective action ?

- Does the airline have a formally established program to identify pilots who may have a
proficiency problem? If so, does the airline have a program to provide additional training
and checking to ensure proper correction of the problem?
