Service
When serving the shuttle there are 4 ways.
They are the: flick, short, high, drive.
Usually, we use the flick. Serving is used
to signal the start of the game
Foot work
Good badminton footwork is having the
ability to reach the shuttle early while on
balance.
Backhand
When executing the backhand, use the
back of the racket instead of the front.
Normally, we use the backhand to lift low
shots.
Forehand
Forehand strokes are hit with the front of
the hand leading (like hitting with the
palm), whereas backhand strokes are hit
with the back of the hand leading (like
hitting with the knuckles).
Overhead Clear
Overhead Clear is used to reach the
shuttles that fall behind or above you. You
will have to stretch your arm and bring the
racket from you back.
SMASH
There is almost no defense against a well
executed smash. It can be played both on the
forehand and backhand sides. The smash is a
shot hit with power and speed downward to your
opponent's court.
Return smash
To return a smash, hit the shuttlecock
hard, and into either the far end or the
extreme close end of the court. If the other
player is in the far end, hitting it into the
close end would be best.
