In this skit, two characters named Religious and Authentic discuss the meaning of Religious's karate black belt that says "TRUTH". Religious claims his instructor said the belt must be worn in truth, but Authentic points out this confuses honesty and truth. When Religious isn't sure if he's being truthful anymore, Authentic explains that according to Ephesians 6:14, the belt represents being girded with all of God's truth, not just honesty. Religious then absurdly asks if he needs to eat the belt to have God's truth in him.

Religious: (Walks up with a belt that states: TRUTH) “Well have
you noticed my Karate Black belt?” Authentic: Now I have… but it looks unsusual? Religious: Well I have to be honest now, because when I went to the Tai Chi class my instructor told us that the Black Belt of Truth must be worn in Truth. So if I’m truthful the belt would be worn in Truth. Authentic: Um that sounds more like honesty. Religious: Honesty and truth are the same thing… Authentic: That could be considered a lie… Religious: No it can’t be… oh no, how do I know if it is or not? What if it is not in Truth??? Authentic: I think you’re missing the point… The Bible says, in Ephesians 6:14, “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth…” In other words, God’s Truth needs to be girded about you. Honesty is a part of God’s truth too, but the belt represents ALL OF GOD’S TRUTH. Religious: (Starts taking belt off) So if I want God’s truth in me… would I have to eat this belt? (he holds it up). Authentic: (Looks at Audience, closes eyes and shakes head slowly)
