INTRODUCTION TO NATIONAL INTEGRATION

National integration is a development of feeling of unity, solidarity, cohesion a Deep


sense of loyalty and patriotism among its citizens . it is a feeling of brotherhood and fellow
feelings, a desire to live together with love, affection and understanding, cooperation
irrespective of differences in caste language reed six it, national unity is essential for any
country at any time. It is an psychological phenomenon and is closely related to nations
prosperity and development, democratic government social justice.

We have gained independence after a struggle because of our great national leaders
like Bhagat singh, sardar valleghai patel jawarlal nehru etc. But till now we have not yet
achieved social emotional and national integration in the right spirit this can be achieved only
when our political democracy ensures social justice equality economic opportunities cultural
fundamental freedoms respecting the rights of all people without discrimination.

In the present scenario some forces and fassiparous tendencies are at work we are
quite aware of communal riots , religious biotry intolerance, casterism its different forms is
still widespread. Harijans are still treated as a lower class in many Controversies arise from
languages, issues regionalism economic disparity, political particles frustrations among youth
mass illiteracy corruption and lack of common goals and ideals for the nation are caused.
The social difference between the different classes ie. between rich and poor, educated and
the uneducated is widening . These situations threaten to both national unity and social
progress.

3. Economic disparity
4. Political parties
5. Lack of good leadership
6. Favourtism in public services
7. Disrespect for law & order.
8. Lack of patriotism
