RE: Maintain the Current Property Tax Rate and Protect Public Education

Dear Commissioner ____________________________:

As a voter and parent in District 1, I am deeply concerned about the funding of

public schools. My child attends _________________________ and the school has
already lost ___________________. If CMS has to implement another massive cut for
the 3rd consecutive year, we will lose ____________________.

I strongly support maintaining the current tax rate and allocating the
additional revenue to CMS for the following reasons:

I call on you, as my elected representative, to provide additional stable

revenues to invest in children and in Mecklenburg County’s future. I
urge you to support maintaining the current tax rate and allocating the
additional revenue from the property revaluation to CMS.
We really can't race to the top in education if we sink to the bottom in our
investment in children.
