OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Filling up the post of Minister (Customs) in Permanent Mission of

India in Geneva at the level of Joint Secretary under the
Department of Commerce.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the Department of Commerce D.O.

letter No.75/1/2011-TA/TC, dated 13.4.2011 on the above subject and to say that the
names of suitable 3-4 officers of 1981 and junior batches of the Indian Customs and
Central Excise Service who are empanelled to hold Joint Secrfetary / equivalent
posts under the Central Staffing Scheme and having experience in WTO issues
pertaining to customs tariffs and other related matters may be suggested, for
consideration for the said post at the earliest. While forwarding nominations of the
officers, it may be confirmed that the officers recommended are clear from vigilance
angle and their integrity is certified. The CR dossiers of the officers nominated for
the post may also please be sent.
