David Beckham, born May 2 1975 in London, is known as one of the most talented

football players in the international football world. David Beckham began his career as a football

player when he was 17 and was noticed by football clubs in the United Kingdom soon after. The

year 1991 was a significant period for his soccer and football career, when David Beckham

signed a contract with Manchester United for the youth training program.
 In his professional career Beckham became a brilliant football player, famous model, tv

actor and celebrity. David was promoted to be an England football team captain in the year 2000.

In 2003 he signed a four year contract with the famous Real Madrid football team in Spain,

which was worth nearly 25 million pounds.

Beckham has twice been runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 was

the world's highest-paid footballer when taking into account salary and advertising deals.

Beckham was the first British footballer to play 100 Champions League matches. He was

Google's most searched of all sports topics in both 2003 and 2004. With such global recognition

he has become an elite advertising brand and a top fashion icon. When joining the MLS in 2007

he was given the highest player salary in the league's history, with his playing contract with the

Galaxy over the next three years being worth $6.5m per year.

Beckham has developed his fame through the TV screen, by appearing on several TV

shows and films that were mostly about his personality and his astonishing career. His

accomplishments include 300 Premiership Goals (1998), Manchester United: Premiership

Champions 2000-2001 (2001), Being Victoria Beckham (2002) (TV), The Real Beckhams

(2003), Really Bend It Like Beckham (2004) and many others. Beckham has also been a face for

different brand commercials, for example, Diesel, Adidas and Vodafone. David Beckham is also

involved in the UNICEF organization.

David is married to Victoria Adams, who was the member of once world famous five girl

band "Spice Girls". The couple have got three sons: Cruz (born 2005), Romeo (born 2002) and

Brooklyn (born 1999).
