Ironfix® Shelf-mounted
Important Notes:
• Before mounting the Ironfix, it is the end users responsibility to assure that the Cabinet and Shelf are securely
affixed, can adequately support the Ironfix when it’s extended, and weight of “ironing” is applied.
• Häfele recommends a ¾” (19 mm) thick shelf.
• Do not rely solely on RTA connectors or shelf supports/pins to support this item.
• Specifically included in this kit are 6 pcs. angle brackets and screws which we suggest are used, see Diagram B.
• Ironfix must be mounted on shelf via through holes using provided bolts.
• Use only as an ironing board for clothes! Unsafe for use as a seat, step, or table - misuse may cause serious injury.

Instructions:
1. Use included template to mark and drill 4 places ¼” (6.5 mm) diameter through holes in shelf.
2. Be sure shelf is securely fastened by using included angle brackets and screws, see important notes on
previous page and Diagram B below.
3. Attach Ironfix to shelf via through holes using included bolts.
4. Attach drop-down front, see below for suggestions.

To attach Drop-Down Front, Häfele recommends using Concealed Cup Hinges for adjustability.
Exact location of hinges, dimension of drop-down front, overlay, etc. – to be performed by trial and error.

• For a flat panel front, Hafele can suggest hinge item 329.17.507 and mounting plate Item 329.71.500.
• For raised panel fronts, Hafele can recommend a thin cup hinge item 329.28.500 and mounting plate item 329.71.500.
