Canada’s History
Canada alternative Canada is a country in northern USA with an area at 9,958
million square kilometres, the world’s second largest country to the surface. The
population of Canada is 34 million people one of the world’s sparsely populated
countries. The name of Canada’s capital is Ottawa and it also holds buildings
such as Parliament which lies in Ontario. The biggest city in Canada is Toronto
which lies south-east beside Lake Ontario and the border of America. Through
British North America Act Canada became Parliamentary Democracy and
currently has Queen Elizabeth ll as head of state. Canada is industrialized with
vast natural recourses and high living standards. With its abundant supply of
fossil fuels, nuclear and hydroelectric power, Canada is net exporter of energy.
Its diversified economy is heavily dependent on natural recourses and trade,
primary the USA, a country Canada have had a long and complicated
relationship with.

Languages
The official language that is spoken in Canada is dominant by English and
French and this is because Canada had much new settlers from both England
and France. France called themselves new-France when they settle north of the
country of Canada. Today the highest mountain in Canada is Mount Logan
which is 5959 meters above the sea level and adjacent to Wrangell-St Elias
National Park and Kluane national park. The longest river is Mackenzie River
which is 4241 Km and lies in the Northwest Territories.

Monarchy
Canada is a monarchy with the same Queen as England but it is controlled by
the government. When the voting system for the high-profile drug Marijuana
came up in Canada there were 53 percent that voted yes for marijuana to be
legal in Canada.

The similarities between Canada and Sweden is that most of population came
from Europe just like Sweden and from Kiruna there were many people’s who
emigrated to Canada aswell.
