Expectations, recommendations, suggestions, bits of advice

for the Coventry report / diary / logbook - March 2011

1. A synthetic description of our stay in the West Midlands (an everyday account on
what we did, where we went, what we visited, what we experienced).
2. A personal perspective on our field trip: personal feedback, impressions, reactions,
likes and dislikes, questions.
3. A focused analysis and research on one of our four days, related to a specific theme:
a. The history of Coventry / the Coventry Cathedrals
b. The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley
c. The Museum of Iron and Iron Bridge
d. Birmingham (the Jewelry Quarter, the Pen Museum, the Think Tank Museum)
e. London (The Bank of England and the Globe)

N.B. This section of your work could be used next year as one of your DNL topics for the Bac.
It should be based on precise documentation, on a personal analysis and on relevant
conclusions.

4. Feedback on English life styles: a personal testimony on family life, on English


culture, on the English way of life. If you have taken photographs, please use this section for
this purpose as well.

Evaluation criteria:

The first section will be given a maximum of 5 points, the second will give you 3 points, the
third one 8 points and the last one 4 points. So contents = 20 points.

Then, the quality of your English (spelling, use and range of vocabulary, use of “Bloody
Patterns, grammar) will give you 15 points. The quality of your overall presentation
(creativity, lay out, balance between text and imagery and documents) will give you 5 points.
So form = 20 points.

You will be given a mark out of 40.

The “coefficient” for this report = 3
