Dear Parents/Caregivers

Your child/children will be spending time with me doing fun activities in


either math¶s or reading (or both).

This will be during Term Two, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The main purpose of this time is to give extra assistance to the normal
classroom programme, and provide more one-to-one teaching to help
promote confidence and understanding.

Some points to note:


g There is to be NO PRESSURE ± activities and any homework are
to be done in a fun and relaxed environment.
g Reading books coming home will be from the classroom ³Browsing
box´.
g The reading activity sheet will be completed at SCHOOL (unless
noted in the scrapbook).
g Math¶s ± learn the tables / basic facts regularly. Before children
can use strategies to solve math¶s problems, they first need a good
foundation in basic facts/knowledge.
g If you have any concerns at any stage, please make a note in their
scrap book.
g BASIC WORDS ± for reading only! (Not spelling).
