In 1949 in the bar BB King
was in two men fighting
knocked over a kerosene
barrel, lighting the bar on
fire. BB King ran into the
flames to retrieve his $30
guitar. He later found out
the two men were fighting
over a girl named Lucille,
so he named his guitar after
her.
