Admissions announced for B.Tech Part-Time courses

New Delhi; April 26, 2011: Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of
Engineering, has announced the admissions for its B.Tech. Part-Time programs for 2011-12
academic session. The courses on offer include Civil Engineering (37 seats), Electrical
Engineering (36 seats), Mechanical Engineering (37 seats), and Electronics &
Communication Engineering (37 seats), with a combined intake of 147 seats. The part-time
courses are of four years duration, where classes are held six days a week in the evenings from 6
pm to 9 pm. These courses are meant for practicing Diploma engineers who work in Delhi.

The admissions will be made on the basis of entrance examination, which will be conducted
by the University on June 26, 2011. Those who have passed State Diploma Examination in
Engineering of three years in the corresponding branch or any other examination
recognized by DTU as equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (45% for SC/ST
candidates) and have served for a period of not less than one year as on September 1, 2011 in
an established engineering works/ organization, located in the NCT of Delhi and contiguous
industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

The Information Bulletin including the Application form and syllabi of entrance examination,
is available on all working days (Monday to Saturday) between 2 pm to 7 pm on submission of
crossed Bank Draft/ PO of Rs 1000 issued from State Bank of India only, drawn in favour of
‘The Co-ordinator B.Tech. (evening) Entrance Examination-2011’ payable at Delhi. Candidates
desirous of obtaining the Information Bulletin by post should send their request to the Deputy
Co-ordinator (Admn.), B.Tech. (Part-Time) Office, Room No. FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering
Department, Delhi Technological University, Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 alongwith a crossed
Bank Draft/ Pay Order for Rs 1100 from State Bank of India. Request for issuance of Bulletin
by post must reach the office on or before May 5, 2011.

The last date for sale of Information Bulletin at DTU in person is May 23, 2011 till 5 pm. The last date
to submit the completed Application Form is May 23, 2011 till 7 pm. Further details can be obtained
