Cougars

‡ Cougars are known as the puma, mountain lion, mountain cat, catamount, or the panther. ‡ Cougars eat deer, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, domestic cattle, horses, sheep, rodents, and insects. ‡ Cougars have over 40 names in English alone. ‡ Cougars are the largest of the small cats.

‡ Males weigh 115-220 pounds and females weigh 64-141 pounds. ‡ Baby cougars are born with blue eyes and they have spots all around their little bodies. ‡ Cougars are the only cats that cannot roar they can only meow and purr like a normal house cat. ‡ A litter size is one to six cougar cubs.
