What would you do differently if you were to deliver the lesson again?
If I were to teach this lesson again I would have set the work for the lower-ability group at a more
challenging level. I feel that although they made progress, they could have been pushed a little
further.

Observer’s feedback
Main points from the discussion:
We discussed the positive use of differentiation – this was clear within the planning and used well
during the lesson to ensure all ability groups made progress. Glenn also researched Shabbat in
good detail in order to teach the lesson.

Areas for development include whole-class management – the noise level was a bit high
throughout the lesson. When on the carpet, consider moving certain children to sit next to an adult
if possible.
