Pair up and sit down with your back to each other. Number yourselves 1 or 2
No 1 opens text book to p28 and explains a chosen landform to partner
No 2 uses a pencil and piece of paper DOES NOT look at text book and must
listen to commands of No 1 to draw a given landform.
No 2 based on what they have drawn guesses the landscape described.
Swap and repeat for another landform.
Learning Objectives
All can identify some desert landforms and
reflect on how they were formed.
Most can explain the processes of weathering
and erosion.
Some can analyse how these landforms shape the
landscape and characteristics of deserts.
What landforms do you find in deserts?
TASKS:
1. Write definitions in your book for weathering and erosion. With examples of both
and pictures if it helps you to learn them. (see p29)
2. Draw a mind map to show the processes that happen in a desert. (look at Q1 p29)
3. Draw a table or another mind map to classify the landforms of the desert into those
that were created by erosion and those that were created by deposition. (see p28)
