EXHIBITION CHECKLIST- TRIMESTER #3 2010-11- Wetherbee

What you must bring:


o All interest project work
o Agendas (enough copies for each student, slides of your agenda in your Power Point between each subject, or a giant-sized
agenda)
o All visual aids for all subjects and interest project

NOTE: IF A STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE A VISUAL AID FOR ANY SUBJECT OF THE EXHIBITION, S/HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PRESENT THAT SUBJECT AND A REDO EXHIBITION WILL BE REQUIRED.

What you must do for your exhibition:


INTRODUCTION
o Introduce yourself
o Welcome audience
o Pass out and review your agenda

PROJECT WORK: (25%)


o Interest Project
o What was your driving question? (This should be prominent on your visual aid.)
o Why did you choose it?
What did you learn about it?
Visual aids should be focused on this part of the project.

NOTE: ALL OF THESE ITEMS MUST HAVE A SEPARATE VISUAL AID. Be creative!

Math (15%):
o Use the recipe given to you by your teacher to create two new versions of the recipe.
1. Double the ingredients in the recipe (multiply).
2. Then cut the recipe in half (divide).
o Use a visual aid (like a large chart, a slide in your Power Point, or Glogster) that shows the new versions of the recipe.
o Be able to explain how you got the new measurements of the ingredients.

Writing (15%):
o Pick a piece of writing that you made this year that you are most proud of (tall tales, mysteries, poetry, biographies,
persuasive writing) and share it with the class. Tell us why you are proud of this piece. Create an illustration or visual aid of
some kind that enhances your piece of writing.

Reading (15%):
o Present your big picture book of your independent or guided reading book.
o See attached for instructions.

Social Studies (10%):


o Share what you learned from writing the clues for the Amazing Race Project.
o Explain where you finished the race.

Science (15%):
o Science Project
o See attached for instructions
