Target Learner 8th Grade New Testament Bible Class, ages 13-14
Abilities Students are of diverse backgrounds. Majority are on average level. No special
needs.

Stage 1 –Desired Results

Established Goals
Christian World View: Students will be able to:
-Apply biblical principals in relation to ethical, philosophical, and practical areas of life
- Exhibit a knowledge of the Bible in both breadth and depth
Spiritual and Moral Development: Student will be able to:
- Produce evidence of a strong moral character and a lifestyle that demonstrates the virtues of
Temperance, Perseverance, Discipline, Faith, Love, Patience, Courage, Humility,
Trustworthiness, Justice, Wisdom, Respect, Responsibility, Compassion, and Citizenship

Desired Understandings

Students will undestand that the root of conflict is because we are sinners.

Essential Questions to Consider

Why do we constantly have conflicts in life? Why deal with all conflict Biblically?

Desired Key Knowledge

Students will know how James 4:1-3 applies to conflict. Students will have an
understanding that in order to solve conflict Biblically, they need to examine first their
own hearts for any sin.

Desired Key Skills

Students will be able to evaluate conflicts in their own lives and respond using the
Peacemaker conflict principles in order to glorigy Christ in the circumstances.
