Kodak Brownie Camera: Never Miss Another Memorable Shot Again!

The dawn of a new age has arrived! Eastman Kodak is pleased to announce the release of the new Kodak
Brownie Camera! The camera is designed to bring affordable photography to the masses.

Hold the camera at waist height, aim and turn a switch. That is all there is to take a picture. The simple
operation means the Kodak Brownie can even be used by any young school boy or girl but is equally
suitable for people of all ages.

Fitted with five lenses with improved shutters, they are suitable for snapshots and time exposures. Build
quality and durability is excellent, with aesthetically pleasing imitation leather covering the camera
coupled with nickeled fittings. The six exposure film cartridges offered by Kodak are extremely easy to
load and can be done even in bright daylight. The compact design of the camera eliminates the need of
carrying heavy cameras with tripods which means that handheld photography is now possible opening up
whole new possibilities.

The Brownie camera is offered at an affordable price of $1 with six exposure cartridges costing only 15
cents each. Kodak promises development of the film for the camera’s owners giving the owners the
convenience eliminating the need for investments in chemicals and a darkroom. The cheap price point
will give everyone the chance to try out photography. A manual will also be given free with every
purchase.

Every boy or girl under sixteen years old who owns a Brownie camera can join the Brownie camera club
without any initiation fees with a free copy of Photographic Art Brochure given to every member. As part
of a contest, free cameras will be given out to members for best pictures taken with a Brownie camera.
The camera will be made available to all Kodak camera dealers from Feb 1900 onwards.
