Surat Al-'A`lá (The Most High) - ‫ﺳﻮرة اﻷﻋﻠﻰ‬

‫ﺑﺴﻢ اﷲ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﯿﻢ‬
87:1

‫ﻠﹶﻰ‬‫ ﺍﻟﹾﺄﹶﻋ‬‫ﻚ‬‫ﺑ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ﻢ‬‫ﺢِ ﺍﺳ‬‫ﺒ‬‫ﺳ‬

Sahih International
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
87:2

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﻮ‬‫ ﻓﹶﺴ‬‫ﹶﻠﻖ‬‫ﺍﻟﱠﺬِﻱ ﺧ‬
Sahih International
Who created and proportioned
87:3

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﺪ‬‫ ﻓﹶﻬ‬‫ﺭ‬‫ﺍﻟﱠﺬِﻱ ﻗﹶﺪ‬‫ﻭ‬

Sahih International
And Who destined and [then] guided
87:4

ٰ‫ﻰ‬‫ﻋ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ ﺍﻟﹾﻤ‬‫ﺝ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﺍﻟﱠﺬِﻱ ﺃﹶﺧ‬‫ﻭ‬

Sahih International
And who brings out the pasture
87:5

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﻮ‬‫ ﻏﹸﺜﹶﺎﺀً ﺃﹶﺣ‬‫ﻠﹶﻪ‬‫ﻌ‬‫ﻓﹶﺠ‬

Sahih International
And [then] makes it black stubble.

ٰ‫ﻰ‬‫ﻨﺴ‬‫ ﻓﹶﻠﹶﺎ ﺗ‬‫ﻘﹾﺮِﺋﹸﻚ‬‫ﻨ‬‫ﺳ‬

Sahih International
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
87:7

ٰ‫ﻔﹶﻰ‬‫ﺨ‬‫ﺎ ﻳ‬‫ﻣ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﻬ‬‫ ﺍﻟﹾﺠ‬‫ﻠﹶﻢ‬‫ﻌ‬‫ ﻳ‬‫ﻪ‬‫ ۚ ﺇِﻧ‬‫ﺎﺀَ ﺍﻟﻠﱠﻪ‬‫ﺎ ﺷ‬‫ﺇِﻟﱠﺎ ﻣ‬

Sahih International
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
87:8

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﺴ‬‫ ﻟِﻠﹾﻴ‬‫ﻙ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﺴ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﻧ‬‫ﻭ‬
Sahih International
And We will ease you toward ease.
87:9

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﺖِ ﺍﻟﺬﱢﻛﹾﺮ‬‫ﻔﹶﻌ‬‫ ﺇِﻥ ﻧ‬‫ﻓﹶﺬﹶﻛﱢﺮ‬

Sahih International
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
87:10

ٰ‫ﻰ‬‫ﺸ‬‫ﺨ‬‫ﻦ ﻳ‬‫ ﻣ‬‫ﺬﱠﻛﱠﺮ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﺳ‬

Sahih International
He who fears [ Allah ] will be reminded.
87:11

‫ﻘﹶﻰ‬‫ﺎ ﺍﻟﹾﺄﹶﺷ‬‫ﻬ‬‫ﺒ‬‫ﻨ‬‫ﺠ‬‫ﺘ‬‫ﻳ‬‫ﻭ‬
Sahih International
But the wretched one will avoid it -
87:12

ٰ‫ﻯ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ ﺍﻟﹾﻜﹸﺒ‬‫ﺎﺭ‬‫ﻠﹶﻰ ﺍﻟﻨ‬‫ﺼ‬‫ﺍﻟﱠﺬِﻱ ﻳ‬

Sahih International
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
87:13

ٰ‫ﻰ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﺤ‬‫ﻟﹶﺎ ﻳ‬‫ﺎ ﻭ‬‫ ﻓِﻴﻬ‬‫ﻮﺕ‬‫ﻤ‬‫ ﻟﹶﺎ ﻳ‬‫ﺛﹸﻢ‬

Sahih International
Neither dying therein nor living.
87:14

ٰ‫ﻛﱠﻰ‬‫ﺰ‬‫ﻦ ﺗ‬‫ ﻣ‬‫ ﺃﹶﻓﹾﻠﹶﺢ‬‫ﻗﹶﺪ‬

Sahih International
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
87:15

ٰ‫ﻠﱠﻰ‬‫ﻪِ ﻓﹶﺼ‬‫ﺑ‬‫ ﺭ‬‫ﻢ‬‫ ﺍﺳ‬‫ﺫﹶﻛﹶﺮ‬‫ﻭ‬

Sahih International
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
87:16

‫ﺎ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﻧ‬‫ﺎﺓﹶ ﺍﻟﺪ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﻭﻥﹶ ﺍﻟﹾﺤ‬‫ﺛِﺮ‬‫ﺆ‬‫ﻞﹾ ﺗ‬‫ﺑ‬

Sahih International
But you prefer the worldly life,
87:17

ٰ‫ﻘﹶﻰ‬‫ﺃﹶﺑ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﻴ‬‫ﺓﹸ ﺧ‬‫ﺍﻟﹾﺂﺧِﺮ‬‫ﻭ‬

Sahih International
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
87:18

ٰ‫ﻒِ ﺍﻟﹾﺄﹸﻭﻟﹶﻰ‬‫ﺤ‬‫ٰﺬﹶﺍ ﹶﻟﻔِﻲ ﺍﻟﺼ‬‫ﺇِﻥﱠ ﻫ‬

Sahih International
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
87:19

ٰ‫ﻰ‬‫ﻮﺳ‬‫ﻣ‬‫ ﻭ‬‫ﺍﻫِﻴﻢ‬‫ﺮ‬‫ﻒِ ﺇِﺑ‬‫ﺤ‬‫ﺻ‬

Sahih International
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
