Angeles Crest Highway (SR-2) is expected to open in late Spring 2011.


Summary - The Angeles Crest Highway (SR-2) is closed from La Cañada Flintridge to the
Angeles Forest Highway. A slope approximately 2.5 miles east of La Cañada Flintridge was washed
away by heavy rains and debris. Due to the damage, the highway is estimated to open late Spring
2011. The opening is subject to change.

repaired. The remaining repairs
within the closure between
La Cañada Flintridge and the
Angeles Forest Highway include:

Installing new culvert pipes Workers building a new culvert Asphalt berms will be built
along the highway
Rebuilding cement culverts near
drainages
Rebuilding asphalt berms
Repaving and oiling the
highway
