During the year, we expanded our polypropylene (PP)
capacity by 280 KTA at Jamnagar that increased the
combined capacity to 1,710 KTA. With this
expansion, we now have 3.5% of global PP capacity
and 3.6% of global PP production.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

 Imported raw material is not enough clean for use


directly, so cleaning process is taken first place in
production process and it is must require for quality.

 In cleaning process a machine named µOCTIR¶ remove


dust and other rubbish from the raw material.

 But the primary cleaning process is not able to remove


micro insets, so after removing dust and other rubbish
the raw material is passing through the Boiling
process, where the rest insets are remove from the
raw material.

 After cleaning the raw material in primary cleaning


process they spin the raw material, which is known
as spinning process.
 This process gives new look to the raw material,
which is known as yarn. In short spinning process
means transferring the raw material in the yarn.
 Now they weave the yarn. This process is known as
weaving process. In weaving process yarn is
transferred into thread.

After transferring the raw material in to yarn and yarn


in to thread they make rolls of it. For making rolls of
thread from yarn they use the machine named
SLT-A.

After making rolls of thread they add colours and


chemicals in it. This is Blanding process. Blanding
process divide thread in to different categories as
required.

 After passing all the tests the thread is complete for


production of cloth.
 For pattern adjustment they use computerize pattern
adjustment machine. µCNC cabinet¶.
 Pattern of the cloth is set by Top Management.
About the meter of pattern they have separate
department in which around 30 designers working
for make efficient pattern.
 

 After set the pattern, the roll of thread is put in the


pattern maker machine. This machine transferred
the thread in to cloth.
 This machine is connected with pattern adjustment
machine. The pair of these two machines produces
cloth & create pattern which was set in it.

Now we have rough cloth. For removing roughness &


wrinkles from the cloth the cloth is passing through
Sheaving & Burning process.

For Sheaving & Burning process they use the machine


named µSTENTER-4¶

After this cloth is going for final touch, in which they


use µSUPRAS GLX-I2¶ machine.

Now the raw material is completely transferred in to


final product-cloth. So the packing process takes last
place.

In the packing process the cloth is cut down in


different categories as required.

Here the cloth is pack in the rolls & small packet. Minimum
length of this roll of cloth is 20 meters and maximum
length is 60 to 80 meters and width is 148 cm.
 On this plastic wrap all the information about the
packed cloth is shown like piece number, design
number, color, barcode number, length ± width, etc.
This plastic packet is tie by red ribbon.
