Agora Board Meeting

May 10th, 2011

Present: Matthijs Olde, Toms Liapins, Nicola Fraccaroli, Kelston Brooks, ruben Rosenberg Colorni,
Rosalyn Hassel, Yorick van Rijthoven

1. End of Year Gala

◦ Yorik has asked for Agora''s help for the End of Year Gala even which will take place in
July.
◦ The board has offered to help with promotion and other assistance should it be required.
◦ The event has a board comprised of students from different accademies.
◦ Yorik will be the liaison officer between the event board and the Agora' board.

2. Bowling Trip
◦ RoAnne has proposed a Bowling trip.
◦ Most definitely possible, however she should write/e-mail a small proposal to the
Activities Coordinator (Toms)

3. Flag/Pole
◦ A need for promotional and “marketing” material has been identified as a possible need.
We need to be recognized.
◦ Sponsorships?
◦ Kelston and Matthijs will work on PR campaigns etc.

4. Plenary Session
◦ Will be Monday or Tuesday (Failed, has been postponed)

5. Agenda for Plenary Session

◦ Sports Committee
◦ UNESCO Committee – Feli, Aldrich, Cyril, Alice, Yelle, Kania, Esther, Zander
▪ Water project – Feli (Committee Head), RoAnne, Aldreich, Cyril, Alice, Yelle,

◦ Publication Committee

6. Tutoring
◦ Nils has been busy, not much progress but need an update soon.

7. Introduction Week
◦ Probably do not want to make it an Agora' event but most likely willing to give “slots”
 ◦ Meeting 13.45 on Thursday May 12th

8. Trip to ICC
◦ Proposed an education trip to the ICC
◦ Ruben will look into his contacts
◦ Rosa would like to help

9. Paintball
◦ Proposed social activity involving some Paintball!
◦ Rosa would like to help.
◦ Toms will organize a committee and the event
