St. Elizabeth’s School

Fifty Years Ago and Today
St. Elizabeth’s CYO (Catholic Youth Organization)
is having a 40th reunion on Nov 12, 2011.

CYO was St. E’s youth group for high school kids.
All of us grew up in the parish, went to St. E School
in the years 1955 through 1970, and joined CYO.

Here are two pictures: 1st Holy Communion (1960)

and a Wednesday night CYO meeting (1966).

After college graduation, many of us moved away

from Granite City and St. Elizabeth’s. We have many
memories of St. E School but we are sure that much
has changed in the last 50 years.
