    This assignment asks your group to select a scene or section of a particular chapter
    from At the Mountains of Madness to bring to visualization on a poster with the pens
    provided. Be sure to provide as much detail and attempt to evoke the mood of the text in
    your visualization. When finished, tape to the wall.

    Lovecraft’s work is notoriously difficult to translate into the visual medium. But this has
    not hindered many attempts to do so. Consider the reasons for this difficulty. What does
    the text evoke that is so difficult to visualize? What are ways around these problems?
    Moreover, what can visualization provide the text that words cannot? Address these and
    any other issues that arise when giving your presentation in the class.
