ACTIVITY: FRUIT CARVING DEMONSTRATION

AIMS: TO CREATE AN AWARENESS TO THE POTENTIAL STUDENTS ON THE


HOSPITALITY COURSE OFFERED IN OLYMPIA COLLEGE

OBJECTIVE: TO EXPOSE STUDENTS WITH HOSPITALITY PRACTICAL AND


THEORY SKILLS OFFERED IN OLYMPIA COLLEGE

CONTENT: ON 3RD OF JULY THE HOSTEURS CLUB HAS JOINED MARKETING


DEPARTMENT’S ACTIVITIES IN SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEBANGSAAN
ABDULLAH MUNSHI LOCATED IN JALAN P.RAMLEE, PENANG. HOSTEURS
CLUB WAS REPRESENTED BY MR MOHD FAIRUS, COORDINATOR OF HOTEL
SCHOOL OCPP. WE HAVE INVITED COLD KITCHEN CHEF FROM FLAMINGO
HOTEL, PENANG, MR RAHIM TO CONDUCT FRUIT CARVING
DEMONSTRATION.

THE DEMONSTRATION HAD BEEN CONDUCTED FOR THREE HOURS FROM


10.00AM TO 1.00PM. WE HAVE CARVED 3 TYPES OF FRUITS, WATERMELON,
HONEYDEW, PAPAYA AND CARROT. THERE ARE STUDENTS AND PUBLIC
WHO ARE INTERESTED IN CARVING ACTIVITY, THUS, THE MARKETING
STAFF GIVE MORE INPUTS ABOUT HOSPITALITY COURSE OFFERED IN
OCPP.

SUMMARY: WE IN HOSTEUR CLUB BELIEVE FRUIT CARVING


DEMONSTRATION HAS OPENED THE EYES OF THE PUBLIC ON EXISTING
HOSPITALITY COURSE OFFERED IN OCPP AND ANY RELATED HOSPITALITY
ACTIVITY SHOULD BE CONSTANTLY COORDINATED BY OCPP IN ORDER TO
REACH DESIRED TARGET.
