Internship Report

It’s been over a period of 18 days since my internship project in Big Bazaar
Ameerpet branch. It is providing me a very high experience towards the role of
marketing in the retail n FMCG sector.

Here, my co-ordinator is Mr. Adhitya (Marketing Manager). He assigned me


a certain task on the first few days, where n which I have to convince the
customers and make them aware about the GISF offer ( The Great Indian
Shopping Festival). The GISF is a scheme which started on April 16 n lasted on
15th May. So, in this task I have faced different people and explained them about
the scheme. It has helped me in developing my approaching skill towards the
customers and also how to convince them and it helped me to test myself in all
the ways.

After the completion of the task, I have been assigned another task. In
that I must be in the GISF counter where I must check the bills of the
customers and then add the points to them depending on their bill amount.
There It helped me in increasing my technical skills and also helped in clearing
the customers problems, so that I learned how to take initiation and deal the
problems of customers.

One day I was assigned as Marketing Research Analyzer. There i must go to


all the Rice retail stores and find out how customers approach and what they
buy and then I reported to the co-ordinator and explained the differences
between the retail stores and the big bazaar store, which helped them to plan
and implement new things which helped them to increase their sales in the rice
department.

The other project is the Space on Ads,.......where I have collected the


information and created a data base. And started calling all the agencies,
schools, colleges, infra company’s etc,.....so that, the people can advertise in big
bazaar by paying some amount,.....here i learned how to tele market and how to
convince them easily.
