Storm

Stormy weather is inside my heart.

Thunder and lightning tear my insides apart
From edge to edge stretches a crack
And from it falls something compulsory:
Warm and sticky and balmy too;
The essence of life, dripping down my chest,
Staining my shirt and breast.

When will the angry waters calm down?

When will I see a piece of blue sky?
“When tis over tis over” they say,
but how much longer do I have to wait?

Bruise me, curse me, shout at me,

spit on me, pull my hair,
And soon in this storm you shall find your boat
For the storm has no mercy at all.
Certainly for me it has found none
As I’m here struggling to stay afloat

A wreckage, all skin and bone

Cheeks paled and eyes like stones
They move around yet see none

This poem is my trail of thoughts,

Random things that had lit up my torch
And made paper burn with fresh words

Light
Open the shutters for a bit of light
Allow it to reach your heart
Let it swirl and penetrate your soul.
Bathe in the light if you’re sore
It will be your guide further down the road.
Take it now or watch it go

When all light burns out

When all hope is gone
Just take a deep breath
You’re never alone
Many people went down the same road.

Beware of artificial light

It’s a misleading guide
It flicks and flashes
But once it goes out
It leaves you in the dark
