1. Geography
- Taiwan island lies 180 km off the southeastern coast of China, across
the Taiwan Strait, with an area of 35,801 km2..
-Climate of Taiwan is marine tropical.

2. Demographics
- Taiwan's population was estimated in 2010 at 23 million.
- Mandarin is officially recognized by the Republic of China as the national
language and is spoken by the vast majority of residents.

3. Economy
- Taiwan has quick industrialization and rapid growth during the latter half
of the 20th century.
- 1.00TWD (Taiwan New Dollar ) equals RM0.10.

4. Culture
- The cultures of Taiwan are a hybrid blend of various sources.
- Literature: As mainland China and Taiwan share a written language of
Chinese and much of the Chinese cultural heritage, literature in Taiwan is
largely similar to the literature in mainland China.
- Sports: Baseball is Taiwan's national sport and it is a popular spectator
sport. Besides, Taekwondo has become a rather mature and successful sport
in recent years.
- Music: Pop and rock.
- Food and drink: Influence by the west, Japanese and China.
- Religion: The prevalent form of religious belief in Taiwan is a blend
of Buddhism, Taoism, and Chinese folk religion, including ancestor
worship.
