    • Please encourage members to respond to the calls for action.
    o Recent calls for concern:
     Education Reform Bill: SB7
    • Right to strike—basically we keep the right to
    strike, however we must go through mediated
    process prior to ‘walking off the job.’
     Be aware of future concerns: tenure and pension reform

    • Stalwart nominations approved
    o Jake Little and Terri Smeltzer for our local
    o Region Stalwart nomination—Patty Sebak
    • Local Officer Information- Please email/pdf Rainy as well as IEA rep
    (Sandy Arlt) as soon as possible (local election complete).

    Other:
    • NEA Delegates will be receiving information soon regarding NEA
    training and events to follow.
    • Summer Leadership scholarships- There are several ‘at-large’
    scholarships available to encourage others to attend if local cannot
    provide to send all that are interested in attending.
