The Statutes at Large in Searchable Text was created by Lowell H. Becraft, 209 Lincoln Street, Huntsville
Alabama, 35801. The actual Statutes at Large were scanned into Adobe PDF files verbatim then converted
to searchable text by Optical Character Recognition processing that coexists behind the PDF image.

Each file name prefix begins with alphabet character totaling 260 blocks of ten files. Within each alphabet
character block, the first or second numbers are unique to the block allowing successive numbers to maintain
the chronological order the Statutes. This file identification scheme defeats various CD and DVD burners
from reorganizing the chronological files. Block “Z” is reserved for miscellaneous added non-chronological
information files that are not directly Statute at Large files.
