    Do you like chipmunks? Well if you do, what do you want to know or what do
    you know already? But I think I should just tell you! First I would like to start out
    with the Eastern Chipmunks habitat.
    The Habitat

    A Eastern Chipmunk will be found, in a deciduous forest.


    Mostly near a brushy area, rock pile or peoples homes.

    The Burrows

    Ok, now that you know where to find an Eastern


    Chipmunk, lets talk about burrows! A burrow is
    in the ground. It can be 25 feet! Now that’s a lot!
    An Eastern Chipmunks chamber has 2 exits for
    an emergency.
    Body Traits

    An Eastern Chipmunks body has a reddish


    brown back, 2 black strips, a white belly, and
    weighs about 3 ounces! Wow that’s light!

    The Diet

    They often eat seeds, fruits, nuts,


    and insects.
    Predators

    Their predators are… owls, snakes,


    and mountain lions until they were
    protected by man! Cool!
