VCR Manual and How-To Instructions

 Step 1: Unpacking
 Remote Commander
 Size aa (r6) batteries
 Audio/Video cable (3-phono to 3-phono)
 75-ohm cable with f-type connectors
 Plug adaptor

 Step 2: Setting up the remote commander


 Insert two aa (r6) batteries by matching the + and – on the batteries inside
battery compartment
 Using the remote commander:
 You can use the remote commander to operate this VCR and a Sony TV.

 Step 3: Selecting the best hookup option


 Before you get started!
 Turn off the power to AC power cords until all of the connections are
completed.
 Be sure you make connections firmly; loose connections may cause picture
distortion.

 Step 4: Setting up the vcr


 Set the RF unit switch to Channel 3 or 4.
 Whichever channel is not used in your area.
 If both are used, set the switch to either channel.
 Turn on your cable box.
 Press “easy set up” on the VCR.
 Step 5: Automatic clock setting
 Tune the cable box to a channel that carries a time signal.
 Select AUTO in the CLOCK SET menu to turn on the auto set clock feature.
 Turn off the VCR.
 It automatically sets the clock and adjusts for daylight saving time by
picking up the time signal.

 Step 6: Recording Videos


 Before you start… Recording TV programs using the VCR plus+ system.
 Check that the VCR clock is set to the correct time.
 Turn on your TV and set it to the video channel.
 When using a cable box, turn it on.
 Press the number buttons to enter the plus code.
 Press SP/EP to select the tape speed, SP or EP.
 Press the Up or Down arrow button to highlight ONCE, DAILY, or
WEEKLY, then press ENTER.
