    Hue Walker is a founding member and senior artist with ARTS Lab at the University of New Mexico.

    In that role she has participated in the production, design and realization of multiple fulldome shows with visiting artists, students, faculty and community members, including BrainFlame with world renowned Chicano artist Gronk, and Tales of the Maya Skies as art designer, modeler/animator, and mythic advisor for the Popul Vuh excerpt.

    Other collaborative fulldome work includes working with Laurie Anderson on Dome Projections & Discussions Featuring Laurie Anderson, with film composer Michael Stearns (Chronos, Baraka) on the fine art piece Wings of Memory, Caldecott-winning author/illustrator Gerald McDermott (Arrow to the Sun, Creation) on an immersive animated adaptation of the book Arrow to the Sun, and with Academy Award-winning film maker Ben Shedd (Flight of the Gossamer Condor, Tropical Rainforest) on pre-visualizations for Tales of the Maya Skies. She taught the worlds first university-based fulldome production course, has supported multiple class projects at UNM from 2001 through the present, and serves as advisor to faculty interested in incorporating fulldome into classwork and research. She has also provided international support for artists, film makers, educators and students interested in learning about fulldome, including serving as visiting lecturer at Ringling School of Designs Cosmix2010 fulldome festival, in Sarasota FL, the Redstick Animation Festival in Baton Rouge LA, and the Australian Network for Art & Technologys (ANAT) Dome Lab 2010 fulldome experimental workshop in Perth AU. Walker has participated in every instance of DomeFest as independent artist (winner of the Best Art Piece Domie Award in 2005 and Best of Fest Domie Award in 2007 for Our Turn with Mitch Rayes,) as well as serving in different years as staff artist, jurist, tech advisor, editor, titleist, print designer, and domie designer among others. Walker has presented fulldome material at SIGGRAPHs educators conference, video art venue, participated in a SIGGRAPH panel on the ethics of digital site scanning, and served on SIGGRAPHs animation festival jury.
