Second Nature Art Farm

Summer Schedule 2011 Classes with Kim Beyer Nelson, Beth Rahe Balas

June 21, 22, and 23rd: Nature Art 11-2 PM (Ages: 4th grade and up): Observe, dream, draw and build nature- art in our forest and meadow. Enjoy the company of little goats, sheep and horses and be ready to experience the magic of our island summer. June 6: Horsepaint (10-2 PM (3rd-5thh grade) and Horsepaint June 7: 113 PM (6th grade and up): Design an intricate piece of art, and transfer it right onto a living animal! Learn how to take an artistic idea from the planning to completion and enjoy interacting with our equine friends! July 12, 13 and 14th: Crafting Gaias Garden, 11-2 PM (4th grade to adult) this hands on class will cultivate your imagination, using meadow, forest, and pond as a starting point for creating playful habitat. July 23rd: Horse as Mirror: A womens retreat, 10-2 PM Join life-coach Carrie West, art instructor Beth Balas and spiritual director Kim BeyerNelson for an intensive day of equine-assisted personal inquiry, qigong, art and guided dialogue geared to help participants move with greater creativity, courage and self-awareness into life and relationships. August 3: Beach Art, 10-12 PM (3rd-5th grade) and August 4: Beach Art, 11-1 PM (6th grade and up): Building and decorating with shells, rocks, and driftwood, well sculpt, draw, write and photograph our day perched between water and earth. August 16: Horse as Mirror: A retreat of self-discovery for young women (13yrs and up) 11-3 PM and August 18: Horse as Mirror: A retreat of self-discovery for young men (13 yrs and up), 11-3 PM A creative rite-of-passage that invites participants into the worlds of art, movement, horses and dialogue.
