CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

WORKING
y The c cuit uses the IC555 in astable mode resulting in a square wave output i.e. (alternate high and low). y The capacitors connected help in the charging and discharging of the IC555. Pin no. 2 is the trigger terminal which is short circuited with the threshold pin number 6. y When the external source is connected the maximum current flows through the outermost terminal thus producing maximum light among all the bulbs connected. When the IC555 is in high state all the transistors are on due to the supply of base current which produces the collector current to flow from collector to emitter. The Diode connected to the first row keeps the bulbs on in the forward biased condition thus leading to a

sequential chain of lighting while the IC555 output through pin 3 is high. y The diode and resistor connected across pin number 3 helps the IC to conduct in both cycles. The light glows only when the IC555 is high and the diode connected in the last terminal is in forward biased along with the transistors. y The intensity of the light glow decreases as we move from left to right due to the successive potential drop across each resistor connected in parallel.

CONCLUSION
y This circuit Turning Light can be used as bike indicator. y In another way it can be used for decorative purpose.
