    The Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission initiated a proceeding to finalize a policy for harnessing power from renewable energy sources including cogeneration. As part of this, the Commission engaged the World Institute of Sustainable Energy to develop a renewable energy policy for Orissa and determine tariffs for renewable energy sources. WISE submitted a final approach paper on this subject. A summary of the approach paper is available on the Commission's website or can be obtained from their office for Rs. 20. Interested parties can submit comments and suggestions on the approach paper by June 28, 2010 and participate in a consultative hearing on July 7, 2010 at 11 am.

    In the matter of - Sou-motu proceeding initiated by the Commission for finalization of Policy on Harnessing of Power from Renewable Energy Sources including Cogeneration & In the matter of - Director(Tariff), OERC Vrs. Commissioner-Cum-Secretary, Department of Energy, Govt. of Orissa & Others

    PUBLIC NOTICE
    .The Commission had initiated a suo-motu proceeding on the above matter and had engaged Ms/ World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE), Pune as Consultant on Development of Renewable Energy Policy in the State of Orissa and Determination of Tariff for Renewable Sources of Energy including Cogeneration. The WISE has submitted the final approach paper on the said subject. A summary of such approach paper is available in Commissions website www.orierc.org.which can also be obtained from its office of the Commission on payment of Rs.20/- in cash. The interested persons, organizations, stakeholders and respondents may file their comments, suggestions on the aforesaid approach paper of WISE, on or before 28.06.2010 and take part in the consultative hearing on 07.07.2010 at 11 am
