ALL SUSPENDED STUDENTS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY NOTICE OF OFFENCES

Following opposition to a lawful Senate decision to discontinue from studies one Babala, Johnson (3rd year CoET student) because of cheating during an examination contrary to University Examination Regulations 8.1-8.4 and subsequent Council decision to suspend all undergraduate students in the College of Engineering and Technology, the Management notifies each of the suspended students as hereunder: That the Management contemplates to take stern measures against each and everyone of you for the offences committed during the recent disruption of academic activities at the College of Engineering and Technology. Take notice that each and everyone of you participated jointly and severally in the following acts or conduct in total breach of University Rules and Regulations, and more specifically, in abrogation of the Students By-Laws, 2007, namely: (a) Disobeyance of lawful orders not to hold or participate in unauthorized meetings on Campus; (b) Obstruction of academic and administrative activities at the University; (c) Using force and offering violence and threats to fellow students and officers and staff of the University; and (d) Engaging in conduct that led to damage of property and violence within the University. Be notified that each and everyone of you must submit explanations in writing why stern measures should not be taken against you, including, but not restricted to an order of your dismissal from the University. You are further required to submit your written explanations to the undersigned through the Principal, CoET on or before 22nd March, 2011. Any default to comply shall constitute an act of gross disobedience and lead to forthright dismissal. Professor Y. D.
