Target Market Mistakes...

1. Dont assume that everyone is a buyer of your product/service? 2. Dont be unclear about the characteristics that define who your target customers are? Subway is the best example they target good taste but it dsnt did its best as MCDONLD & PIZZA HUT have 3. Dont assume you must have a huge target markets. A well defined target market that your company can serve better? y KNOOR CUBES. y Sunsilk shampoo is the best example of 4. Dont jump to the conclusions about why your target market needs you-instead explain how you meet their needs? 5. ...best example is K & Ns....beacue they r targeting thier market by the slogan of Ready ro COOK...so customers can easily understand that they can easily buy K n NS product n save thier time..... 6. so in this way they r satsfying customers by ful fulling thier needs..................istead of promoting Frozen Meet.................... 7. Dont underestimate the value of focus-sell a specific product/service to a specific group? Pampers is a company thats manufacture only diapers thats specifically focusing on mothers group.so we can never underestimate its value. Pc hotel is the best examples because they positioned only UPPER CLASS...so UPPER MIDDLE, LOWER MIDDLE are underestimated and dosnt enjoy the facilities... Another example is JAZZ... 8. Dont try to attach too many markets at once-particularly if you are a startup or earlystage company? J&J in its early days...only focus teen ager they target its market as a baby product in its early days...And then they move fwd according to age group then they introduce face wash Clean & Clear n some tablets alsobut if they did it in starting and introduced its All product then they cant get success.
