Bill Mahan Hits the Jackpot!!

! After 49 long weeks, a white marble was nally drawn out of the cup at last weeks regular meeting. Of course the lucky rafe ticket winner had a 50-50 chance of picking the right marble. Once again, it was Bill Mahan who left the one remaining blue marble in the cup and pulled out the white one. That little trick netted Bill a healthy pot of $1,980. ! Now this weeks marble draw starts all over with 50 blue and one white marble and a kitty of half of the amount of rafe ticket sales. The prize goes up every week with one fewer blue marble until someone picks the winning white one. Rick Davis had the fortune of picking the white marble out of a full cup of blues last year, and others have won the

draw between week one and week 49, but noone can remember in recent times ever having the draw get down to just one white and one blue. Time to head to Las Vegas, Bill!!

We have an abbreviated Newsletter this week, as your somewhat faithful editor is taking a brief trip to Sonoma to visit some friends. Key upcoming events are listed here. If you want to know about future speakers or need a members phone number or email address, check out our website at www.campbellrotary.org to look at archived editions of the Newsletter or through the appropriate links on our webpage. ! Well be back next week when our meeting will be held at the Campbell Community Centers Orchard City Hall.
