( BASIC LOCAL ALIGNMENT SEARCHING TOOL )

AIM:
T o obtain a similar sequence for the query sequence (INSULIN ) by using online tool BLAST.

Procedure: Running the NCBI BLAST.

* Point your browser to the ncbi blast server * Under the protein BLAST heading click here * Based your sequence in the search window * Choose PDB from the choose database full down menu * Click the BLAST button.

Results:

Inference:
First we take the fasta format of INSULIN from PUBMED data base and save it. Open BLASTp homepage and enter the fasta format in the given box and click on BLAST below. . I am performing the operations in the BLAST there we have seen the two types of results .. 1.Graphical view. 2.Allignment view. We take the maximum score and less expected value sequence for our INSULIN sequence with accession number P30406.1 with score 219 and E value 1e-15.
