How to firmware update

1. Current system information display

1) At the DVD mode and No Disc, 2) Press REC key of unit and Enter key of RCU at the same time about 5 sec. 3) Check the MODEL AND DVD SW Ver. e.g.)
Model Name : Go Video RCG59000M DVD SW Ver. : 040114C LSI SW Ver. : 48P10 Region code : 1 Loader Ver. : r.** CPLD Host IF Ver. 1.0 VOUT Ver. 1.0 EUID : 00E****** *******

4) You must EXIT system information display, refer to No 1. clause 2).

2. How to make a disc

1) When make a disc, make disc volume label as figure. (You must use blank CD-R/RW) Volume Label : RC590M_UP 2) Rename file as following LG_VDRVCR2_UPDATE.590.EU041112A LG_VDRVCR2_UPDATE.590 Delete 3) After then, copy the file LG_VDRVCR2_UPDATE.590 in ROOT directory Recommended S/W : CD recording software (e.g.: Roxio Easy CD Creator, Nero Burning Rom) Use file format : ISO9660

3. Updating
1) Insert program update disc, screen as following appears. Do following screen message. 2) Check the Current version and New CD Write Version. e.g.)
Update Disc Run : REC Key 3 times Open : Other key Current Version 0000000 New CD Write Version 0000010 REC Key : WRITE OPEN : CANCEL Current Version 0000000 New CD Write Version 0000010 10 Percent OK

About 1 minute takes update. When program update ends and disc tray is opened automatically. You will take off the disc. You must turn off and then on, the new program is applied to the unit.

4. Check the system information of the updated program

Compare the MODEL AND MICOM VER. with existing (Refer to No.1 Current system information display)
