Oil Change for Indica:

Please follow the steps mentioned below. 1. Run the engine for 5 mins so that the Oil becomes a bit thin to flow out easily. 2. Locate the drain bolt from user manual or u can find it easily below the engine bay. It'll be facing downwards compared to all other drain bolts which will be inclined to certain angle. 4. Keep a container to collect the old oil below this bolt. Challenge is to find one capable of holding 4ltrs with less height to keep it between the engine & floor 5. Remove the filler plug which is above the engine. 6. Use 17mm socket or ring spanner to remove the drain bolt. Be careful while removing the bolt since the hot oil might spill on ur fingers & at the same time the bolt might fall into the container. If it falls inside the container u can take it simple by inserting a screw driver/iron rod into the container & searching it. The drain bolt is magnetised so it'll be attracted by the screw driver/iron rod. 7. Allow the old oil to drain by leaving it for 30 mins. 8. Meanwhile insert a screw driver or a sharp iron rod into the Oil filter side ways & unscrew them. Ideally we need chain wrinch to do this but all mechs do follow the medhod mentioned by me. 9. Apply some fresh oil on the rubber ring of the new oil filter & fix it by hand tightening. 10. Fix back the drain bolt but try to change the copper washer in the drain bolt. If you can't source one use the old one by scrapping it on floor till the circular mark over the washer gets vanished. 11. Pour the new oil through the filler plug & clsoe the filler plug. 12. Start the engine & allow it to idle for 5 mins. Stop the engine & allow it to settle for 5 mins & check the Oil level through the dip stick. It may look like rocket science but just 40mins simple job on the whole. The joy u get out of it has no bounds. You can contact me offline to get my number.
